Barnsider - One of the best steak houses in town, It is a five star resteraunt where you will see people dressed from casual to formal dinner Attire. Mary Miller and Ray Jean opened the resteraunt in 1975 and it has been a cornerstone of North Dayton area. Barnsider is located on 5202 North Main Street Dayton, Ohio

 

Tanks - Located next to Miami Valley Hospital is known for their Chili but I know they also serve up an incredible breakfast. From the outside it looks like a rough little dive you would not want to go in alone but dont let the looks fool you! Tanks is located at 2033 Wayne Ave. Dayton, Ohio

 

Maggies Place - I dont know how many years maggies has been in buisness but I can remember my father taking me there when I was very young, its a little rough looking bar but it was worth the drive for their lunch, it has been a few years since I have visited Maggies but it was as good as ever! Maggies is located at 6515 North Dixie Drive Dayton, Ohio

 

Amber Rose - Known for its wonderful European, Ethnic food, It was my grandmother's favorite place to get cabbage rolls, matter of fact, It was my grandmother's favorite Resteraunt in the Dayton area. If your in the mood for Italian, German, Polish, Hungarian or Russian food, Amber Rose is the place in Dayton to go. When you do go, keep your eye out for Ghosts, Amber Rose is almost as famous for ghosts as it is for their wonderful food! Amber Rose is located at 1400 Valley street Dayton, Ohio

 

Charley's Import's - Known for their Sandwiches and Import foods you can buy in the store, I just recently found out about this place from my Mother who said she can remember going there with my Grandfather when she was a child. My mom is in her 50's and although I have not visited the place yet, it is on the top of my list when I visit Dayton again, you dont stay in buisness that long without serving up some of the best food around. Charleys is located at 429 Troy street Dayton, Ohio
